Film Negative Curtain

Film Negative Cutrain
A collection of film negatives recycled into a curtain
Many people just toss out their film negatives or keep them packed away. By making a curtain, I created a container for a collection of negatives and a way to display them while keeping sustainable design strategies (reduce, reuse, recycle, etc.) in mind. As the curtain hangs in front of a window, the images can be viewed through the natural light instead of a light box. Recycling the old negatives acknowledges their significance as a capture of past memories while also being aesthetically pleasing from a distance.
